Applying for the IBPS Clerk exam requires uploading four very specific documents: your photograph, your signature, a left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) uses an automated portal that meticulously checks the file size, resolution, and format of every upload. If your documents fail to meet these strict parameters, the portal simply rejects your application, displaying an error message that can be incredibly frustrating to troubleshoot.
The IBPS Clerk signature is the most commonly rejected document because candidates frequently ignore two major rules. Firstly, your signature must be signed on a white piece of paper using only black ink. Signatures done in blue ink or any other color are liable to be rejected. Secondly, you must not sign in capital letters. A signature written entirely in block uppercase letters is considered invalid by IBPS. Finally, the digital file itself must be strictly compressed between 10 KB and 20 KB. This narrow window makes it difficult to use generic tools, which is why our dedicated resizer defaults to the correct 140 x 60 pixel dimension and size limits.
The handwritten declaration must also be penned by you, entirely in English, on white paper using strictly black ink. Just like the signature, it should not be written in capital letters. The required dimensions are much larger, mapped to around 800 x 400 pixels (or 10cm x 5cm). When you digitize the handwritten declaration, you must make sure the resulting JPG or JPEG file size falls strictly between 50 KB and 100 KB. Our tool allows you to select the "Declaration" tab to instantly apply these unique dimensional rules.
Your recent passport-style color photograph must have a clear, light-colored background—white is strongly recommended. Make sure there are no shadows on your face or the background. You are required to look straight into the camera with a relaxed face. If you wear glasses, make absolutely sure there are no reflections or glare; dark glasses and tinted lenses are strictly prohibited. The digital file for the photo must measure 200 x 230 pixels and maintain a strict file size of 20 KB to 50 KB.
The left thumb impression serves as another critical verification point. Unlike the signature and declaration which demand black ink exclusively, the thumb impression can be executed with either black or blue ink on white paper. Ensure the impression is not smudged and that the ridges of your thumbprint are clearly visible. The scanned image must be trimmed to approximately 240 x 240 pixels (3cm x 3cm) and tightly compressed to fit within the 20 KB to 50 KB file size bracket.
Candidates often rely on low-quality WhatsApp images or take photos in bad lighting, leading to blurriness when compressed. Taking a moment to snap a clean, well-lit photo of your documents saves immense hassle. Once you have a clear picture, simply upload it here. Select the appropriate tab for the document you wish to format (Photo, Signature, Thumb, or Declaration). Our engine processes everything locally in your web browser. This means your personal signature and private handwritten declaration are never uploaded to our servers, keeping your sensitive data fully secure while guaranteeing perfectly sized results every time.
