The State Bank of India (SBI) Probationary Officer exam is highly prestigious, processing hundreds of thousands of applications. To ensure authenticity, the SBI portal requires applicants to upload a "Handwritten Declaration" along with their photograph and signature. This document is a self-written statement confirming that all the details provided in your form are accurate. Failing to upload this declaration in the exact format, or writing the wrong text, will result in immediate rejection of your candidature.
You must write the following exact text on a plain white sheet of paper. Note that the SBI format typically differs slightly from IBPS by requesting your Date of Birth. Do not change the wording. Make sure to fill in your name and DOB where indicated:
SBI is extremely strict about the presentation of this text. It must be written entirely in English. You must use a Black Ink Pen to write the declaration on an unlined, plain white paper. Using blue ink, pencils, or gel pens that smudge can cause the scanner software to flag and reject your upload.
Most importantly, the declaration MUST NOT be written in CAPITAL LETTERS. If you write the entire sentence in uppercase (e.g., "I HEREBY DECLARE THAT..."), your application will be instantly deemed invalid. You must use your natural, running handwriting (sentence case).
Once you have written the declaration on paper, you must scan or photograph it clearly. For the SBI PO portal, the file must be heavily formatted. The dimensions should be approximately 10 cm by 5 cm, which digitally translates to 800 pixels in width and 400 pixels in height (800x400 px). The file format must be strictly JPG or JPEG.
The file size limit is specifically set between 50 KB and 100 KB. This is larger than the 20 KB signature size allowance because the portal requires the full sentence to remain highly legible. If your file is over 100 KB, the system will reject the upload. Attempting to compress a high-resolution mobile phone photo down to 100 KB without making the handwritten text blurry can be challenging, which is why utilizing our dedicated resizing tool is crucial.
Manually adjusting pixel dimensions and compressing kilobyte sizes for the handwritten declaration using standard mobile apps is frustrating and often leads to illegible text. Our specialized SBI PO tool handles this automatically. Simply ensure the "Declaration" tab is selected above. The tool calibrates to the exact 800x400 pixel and 50-100 KB limits. You can safely upload a high-resolution photo of your paper (up to 3 MB), and the algorithm will crop, resize, and compress it securely inside your web browser. Similar to formatting your SBI PO Photo, your files remain 100% private and are never uploaded to our servers.
